Carnegie Community and Theater - They Just Go Together


Whether it’s peanut butter and jelly, chocolate and peanut butter or bacon and, well... anything, some things are just meant to go together!  This is also the case with theater and community. Live theater can be great entertainment, but when you combine the theater experience with dinner, drinks, dessert and/or a bit of shopping, the whole experience is enhanced.  That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that many businesses in the Carnegie community have joined with off the WALL productions so that when you attend one of our productions at Carnegie Stage, you can make a night (or afternoon) of it. GHOSTS: A SET IN THE MAKING (PART 1)

In this two-part blog, I’m going to focus not on the play itself, but on the set. Why? Because quite simply the set is astonishing! If you’ve been keeping up with our blogs, you already know that our current production Ghosts is set in the early 1880’s, that it was written by Norwegian playwright Henrik Isben and that though it is a revered classic today, it was considered absolutely scandalous in its time.
